By highlighting their contributions in the company, we hope to inspire and inform other young people about the diverse career opportunities available in the display branding industry. Graphic Designer: Moses

Moses the graphic designer

Meet Moses, a 30 year Graphic Designer and creative genius. Moses’ role is important in transforming client’s ideas into visually stunning designs. He designs visually compelling artwork, that vividly communicates the client’s message. This also involves collaborating closely with sales consultants to ensure the artwork meets the client’s satisfaction. His day-to-day tasks include:

  • Conceptualising Designs: Working closely with clients to understand their vision and bringing it to life through creative concepts.
  • Using Design Software: Mastering tools like Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign to create eye-catching graphics.
  • Collaboration: Coordinating with other team members to ensure the designs are aligned with production capabilities and client expectations.

Skills Needed: Creativity, attention to detail, proficiency in design software, and strong communication skills.

Large Format Print Operator: Rhulani

Rhulani, who is 35 years old, is the go-to person in the printing department. His role ensures that the designs created by the design team are accurately brought to life, meaning the artwork printed onto the banner fabrics looks and matches the client’s vision. He and his team operate various types of large format print machines. His responsibilities include:

  • Operating Printing Equipment: Handling various types of printers and ensuring they are set up correctly for each job.
  • Quality Control: Inspecting printed materials for any defects and ensuring high standards are met.
  • Maintenance: Keeping the printing equipment in top condition through regular maintenance.

Skills Needed: Technical skills, keen eye for detail, problem-solving skills, and an understanding of different printing techniques.

Production Planner: Harsheel

Meet Harsheel, a 28 year old Production Planner, with a likeable personality. He’s role as a Production Planner ensures that every project flows smoothly from start to finish, liaising with the sales and production department. When a client’s order is confirmed by a sales consultant, Harsheel carefully assesses the specifications and size of the order, he then schedules the printing process by collaborating with the Production department to assign the required resources and machinery it will take to get the quickest turnaround time . His role doesn’t end there; Harsheel continuously monitors the progress of each order, making adjustments as necessary to ensure deadlines are met without compromising quality. His responsibilities involve:

  • Scheduling: Managing timelines and ensuring that each project progresses according to schedule.
  • Coordination: Acting as the link between different departments, ensuring seamless communication and workflow.
  • Problem-Solving: Addressing any issues that arise during the production process and finding solutions promptly.

Skills Needed: Excellent organisational skills, ability to multitask, strong communication skills, and a knack for problem-solving.

Sales Representative: Llewellyn

Meet Llewellyn, a 28 year old sales consultant with a cheerful demeanor and infectious enthusiasm that makes him a joy to work with for both clients and colleagues alike. Llewellyn’s role extends far beyond just facilitating sales, he also provides expert advice on the best branding and print options to suit clients’ needs. His commitment to excellence make him an invaluable asset to our team and a trusted partner to our clients, driving our business growth and fostering lasting relationships. His responsibilities involve:

  • Client Engagement: Reaching out to potential clients and building lasting relationships.
  • Needs Assessment: Understanding client needs and providing tailored solutions that meet their branding requirements.
  • Closing Deals: Negotiating terms and closing sales to drive the company’s revenue.

Skills Needed: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, persuasive ability, understanding of the branding industry, and customer service orientation.

Frame and Installation Technician: Sandile

Meet Sandile, a 25 year old skilled frame and installation technician. Sandile carefully assesses the functionality and display of our branding products. This involves ensuring that all frames and mechanisms open and close properly and that the printed fabrics fit proportionally on the respective frames. He performs these checks multiple times to guarantee that that every product meets National Flag’s high quality standards before dispatch. His responsibilities include:

  • Frame Assembly: Assembling frames for various products and fitting the fabrics onto each frame.
  • Quality Assurance: Expertly checking for any errors in frame functionality and fabric fitment, ensuring a polished and professional look.
  • Maintenance and Repairs: Conducting regular maintenance and performing necessary repairs to ensure the durability and longevity of the displays.

Skills Needed: Technical skills, attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and an understanding of various materials and tools.
